Day 1: Arrival Paro
On arrival at Paro air port you will be met by our representative and after completing Customs and Immigrations formalities, you will be escorted to the hotel. Overnight Hotel
Day 2: Paro - Thimphu
Sightseeing include visit to Ta Dzong-watch tower,which now houses National Museum of the Kingdom. and then walk down hill pass to visit the Paro Dzong and crossing the typical traditional bridge will lead to Paro town. In the evening we drive to Thimphu the capital city of Bhutan, enroute make a stop to look beyond on the left of the road Tachogang Lhakhang, the temple of the hill of excellent horse built in 15th century.Overnight Hotel
Day 3: Thimphu - Gangtey Gompa
Drive first half of the day is spent leisurely over the Dochula pass (3140m). if weather is favourable,you can see a rang of high Himalayas: Masagang (7158m), Tsendagang (6960m), Terigang (7060m), Jejegangphugang (7158m), Kangphugang (7170m), Zonggaphugang (7060m), Table mountain and finally Gangkar Punsum,the highest peak in Bhutan at 7497m above sea level on a way to Wangdue. Slowly descend down through the temperate forest colored with Rhododendrons and Magnolias which take you to the zone of orange, bananas, cactus to the valley of Wangdue. After lunch drive to Gangtey Gompa and you will be lodged up in a farm house converted into a small guest house
Day 4: Gangtey Gompa - Gogona
Trek Day 1 : Distance around 15 km.Your trek starts at Tabiting (2830m) and takes you through meadows and fields then ascends the Tselela pass at 3440m through mixed forest of Juniper, bamboos, Rhododendrons and Mongalias. On this way you will meet people who speak different dialect called Bjop-kha (language spoken by nomads in Bhutan ). Gogona is a small village with an outstanding monastery under the care of Gangtey Gompa.Overnight Camp.
Day 5: Gogona - Khotokha
Trek Day 2 : Distance around 16 km. Second day of the trek starts at Gogona with an gradual climb takes you to Shobjula pass at 3410m. On descending slowly you will reach a wide valley with clear view of the mountains around you.Overnight Camp.
Day 6: Khotokha - Tikke Zampa/Punakha
Trek Day 3 End Trek : Distance around 12 km A third day trek with a short climb takes you to the Tashila pass at 2800m. And as you walk down you will notice the changes in the vegetation and finally take you to the motorable road at Tikke Zampa where you will be received by our transport.Overnight Hotel.
Day 7:P unakha - Wangdiphodrang
Relaxation after the trek sight seeing around punakha and wangdi valley at leisure including visit to Chhimi Lhakhang (temple of the divine madman). And also visit to the village of peculiarity called Rinchengang village. Where the people live as what was Bhutan like few years back. Overnight Hotel.
Day 8: Thimphu Sightseeing
Thimphu, perhaps the most unusual capital city in the world, is the seat of government. Morning overview of the Tashichhodzong, the main secretariat building which houses the throne of His Majesty the King, is also summer residence of JeKhenpo (Chief Abbot) and the central monk body. Proceed to the National Library,visit nearby Institute of Zorig Chusum(Known as painting school), visit National Institute of Traditional Medicine, where the medicinal herbs abundant in the kingdom are compounded and dispersed.After lunch: Visit National Memorial Chorten,structure landmarked by our late Third King. Visit the Handicraft Emporium and privately owned Handicraft shops, which offer a range of handicraft products including Thangka paintings. Also visit the folk Heritage and Textile Museum which is opened in 2001. Overnight Hotel.
Day 9:Thimphu – Paro
After breakfast drive back to paro, enroute visit Simtokha dzong, and slowly move back to paro. After lunch make a visit to one of the 108 temples built in the Himalayas by Tibetan King Songtsen Gampo,Kyichu Lhakhang, also visit the traditionally built Bhutanese Farm house-colorful, decorative and there is no use on single nails rather fully traditional. Evening stroll over the paro town. Overnight at Paro. Overnight Hotel.
Day 10:Paro (Hike to Taktshang)
After brealfast gradually climb up to Takshang monastry to have a view of fabolus Takshang Temple hanging on the steep cliff. The name Taksang means " Tiger's nest". The monastery is perched on a rocky ledge with a sheer drop of nearly 800 mtrs. After lunch drive up the winding road northwest up to Drukgyel Dzong, the ruined Fortress which once defended this valley from Tibetan invasion. The Dzong which was built in the 17th century by Shabdrung Nawang Namgyel. If the weather is clear one can view Mt. Jumolhari the sacred Mountain. Overnight Hotel.
Day 11:Farewell and Departure
Have a early breakfast in the Hotel and then drive to the airport for the flight to your destination.You will be helped by your escort for the exit formalities and they will bid you a farewell.
